Personal profile

Sam is a lecturer in the faculty of Business and Law at ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿, prior to joining ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿, he worked in the Urban Councils performing capacity building, policy and advocacy role and managed several policy engagement projects bridging the gap between local authorities and the citizenry. His role included advising on policies and procedures to elected policy makers and training them. He later assumed the human resources management roles in  the public sector at executive level.  He later transitioned his career to a full time academic and initially worked for many Higher Education Institutions and now at Demontfort University.

His academic experience include programme leadership, module leadership, line management, personal tutoring, external examination,  supervising  postgraduate research projects, design and plan learning activities, teach and support learning through appropriate approaches, teach and give feedback for learning.  His practice centres around the purpose, values, specialist knowledge and core behaviours of the Chatered Institute of People Development (CIPD). He is also a Professional Recognition Scheme (FHAE) reviewer and mentor.

His research interests  revolves around Policy and governance, HRM practices, Perfomance Management, HRM sustainability and Change Management. He is currently working on 2 projects focusing on: Co-designing Social Transitions for a Sustainable UK and The Struggles of HRM reforms within the public sector in developing economies. He is open to PhD supervision  within his areas of research interests.
